Abstract

This presentation is about a theoretical framework (systems of provision) to approach social provision. The systems of provision framework aims to understand social provision through the lens of deeper capital accumulation processes, and in doing so, uses provision sectors as a tool to understand how the accumulation proceeds. I will talk about this framework from a theoretical perspective based on a particular reading of Marxian value of labour power and use my own work on the electricity housing provision in Turkey to provide an empirical example.
